2023 Wedding Recap
The Fitzsimmons, May 20, 2023
Oh the Fitzsimmons, the first wedding of 2023. Amanda and Mitchell’s wedding was at the end of May, and believe it or not, it wasn’t too hot! A perfect day for a wedding. I arrived while Amanda was getting touch ups on her hair and the bridesmaids were putting on makeup. She was stunning. Her dress was elegant and was a perfect representation of her personality. After I captured her getting ready, I headed out to make sure the groomsmen were ready and took their groomsmen photos. They were a ball of fire and you could tell what the reception would be like, let’s just say they were Fireball ready. Fast forward to the ceremony, the breeze picked up but that was totally okay. Amanda and Mitchell decided to add a unique aspect to their wedding, they planted a tree together. Japanese Maple to be exact. Eventually they were pronounced husband and wife, The Fitzsimmons. I was at the wedding for 6 hours, they booked The Keepsake.
After the ceremony, I snapped family portraits and wrangled them all so they could go sit down while finishing the rest of the photos. Family portraits, all the bridal party, and then Bride and Groom. This is always one of my favorite parts. Time slows down and we can focus on the couple. It is always such an intimate moment.
The party started right after these photos. Of course there was dinner, shoutout to the Chillicothe Country Club for the awesome food and venue, and then we moved onto dancing. And they danced the night away! Congratulations Amanda and Mitchell!

The Meredith’s October 7, 2023
Haley and Jesse had been together for over 10 years before deciding on October 7 as their wedding date. I feel so honored I was able to capture their relationship in their engagement photos as well as their wedding. Haley planned this wedding by herself, with assistance of myself of course, but she knew what she wanted. Their wedding was a dream and I could not imagine to change anything different! Our timeline was set but I assured her things can move and change and they did. While Haley and her bridesmaids were getting ready I of course started with the groomsmen. You would not believe how many times I get asked to pin on a Boutonnière, and no I am not good at it. After the boys were done, we did the Bride and her bridesmaids, yes before the ceremony. And after that we did a first look with Haley and her dad, and then Haley and Jesse. This is why I carry tissues, because yes I was crying too. A bittersweet moment. We then did their bridal portraits right after the first look. They were stunning!
Mother nature wanted to make sure to give some good luck to this beautiful couple and it did in fact rain before and after the ceremony. But that’s okay because we rocked it. As she was coming down the aisle, it stopped. Just enough to bless Haley. And the moment Jesse saw her down the aisle, again had to bring out the tissues. Eventually they were pronounced husband and wife, The Merideth’s.
Family formals, social hour, and then the grand entrance. The party had started. After dinner, Kittys Hissin Chicken was bomb by the way, we snuck out for sunset photos. And man these were my favorite. And of course they will forever be shared. Congratulations Haley and Jesse!

The Loyd’s October 14, 2023
My last wedding of 2023. A great one to end. Chelsea and Chase had a small intimate wedding with their friends and loved ones. The Barn at Lucky Farm was an amazing choice. To start off the day, I met with Chelsea to take photos of details and the girls dresses. We did this inside the barn. Following that, I took getting ready photos of the girls, listened to their stories, and took photos of their fireball shots. A must if I do say myself. I grabbed the boys getting ready photos as well as the groomsmen photos before the ceremony. We then did Chelsea and the bridesmaids photos, and don’t worry Chase and the guests were all tucked away so no one could see.
The ceremony started around 4:30pm. And of course the wind picked up and it started to drizzle. Chelsea walked down the aisle with her grandma and que the tears, she was beautiful. Chase and I definitely needed all the tissues. A bittersweet moment. After the beautiful bride walked down the aisle, the rain had stopped but the wind had not. However this created a dreamy effect with Chelsea’s hair and dress blowing in the wind. Chelsea and Chase were pronounced husband and wife and they kissed. They took in the moment while walking back up the isle and did a kiss at the top.
After the ceremony, I always plan family formals, the bridal party, and then the bride and groom portraits. Super quick and super easy with this crew. After the family and bridal party, Chelsea, Chase, the maid of honor, and I headed out to the field to do bride and groom portraits. The background was super pretty and we captured her “must-haves”. At the very end, we notices the rain was coming through the fields so we sprinted back to the golf cart and headed back in. Always a moment to laugh back on.
The reception was beautiful and the food was awesome, as always! Congratulations Chelsea and Chase!
