Why you shouldn't wait till September to book a fall session.
My schedule
I know my schedule up to 5 months in advance. Yes I know, that planning brain is crazy, but it really helps when trying to schedule clients. I can even take special request to book more than 3 months out and that guarantees a spot for you! However, I do want to remind my clients and those that are reading that, I do have a personal life. My personal availability does not always mean I am available for a photoshoot. I have things to do just like the rest of you. I am also a full time college student and that takes priority over all.
Why you should book ASAP
Even though I know my schedule and have openings, I have to be able to fit in my senior model team, have time for rest, church, family, and editing. I get it, we have busy lives and we may not know our work schedule for the following week. I, guilty as charged, have tried to book with other photographers for a session 2 weeks out. And I was not successful. Many photographers, such as I, have a set schedule and fitting someone in or changing things around may not always be the easiest. Which is why we stick to our schedule. Here are 3 reasons why you should book ASAP instead of waiting 2 weeks before:
- You can pick out your date and time that works for you! A sunset session is hard to come by if you don't grab it before it's too late.
- You get the perfect fall look within the fall foliage timeline. This year, 2024, is super hard to predict when we will have lots of foliage, especially since we have been in a drought. But my clients that booked months ago will have a chance to get it in their photos.
- You won't be denied. Yeah I said it, sadly I have had to let lots of you know that I didn't have time in my schedule to fit you in. And I hate saying NO! But I am looking for an imaginary spot for you. Booking early guarantees you a session.
This applies to any session at any time.
Read that again. This applies to every session! My slow season includes the months of January, February, March, and April. These months are a bit easier to come by for sessions.
